Rules & fine print

How it works

  • Posting a message costs a flat $2.00.
  • Any visitor can pay to redact a visible post, turning it into a solid black bar. On a fresh post, the first redaction costs $4.00.
  • The original poster (or anyone else) can pay to restore a redacted post. Restoring costs double the redaction that most recently hit it.
  • Every subsequent action on the same post doubles again from the previous action's price — $4 → $8 → $16 → $32…
  • The current price of the next action is always shown on the post itself.
  • Every redact and restore is recorded on a public history for that post — amounts and timestamps, visible on the post's own page.
  • All payments go to the site owner. There are no payouts to users and no prize pool of any kind — nothing you pay can ever be won back.

Pricing ladder

Post a message$2.00
1st redact$4.00
1st restore$8.00
2nd redact$16.00
2nd restore$32.00

What you're paying for

A payment buys exactly one action: your message being posted, a specific post being redacted, or a specific post being restored. That's it.

  • Payments are non-refundable. The action is applied immediately after payment clears.
  • An action does not guarantee any display duration. As soon as your action lands, anyone can pay to act on the post again — your restored post can be redacted seconds later, and your redacted post can be brought back.
  • If two people pay for the same action at the same moment, only the first is applied (and the second is refunded manually by the owner).

This is not gambling

Erasure Board is not a wagering, betting, or prediction product. Your payment does not depend on any future event, outcome, or chance. You pay for a fixed, immediate action at a fixed price — like paying for a service. Nothing can be won, and nothing is ever paid out.

Moderation & privacy

  • Posts are screened before checkout: a blocklist of slurs and strong profanity, plus heuristics that reject likely doxxing (phone numbers, addresses, private contact info), impersonation claims, and offers of illegal goods or harm. Matching submissions are rejected outright — they are never quietly altered. Nothing heuristic is perfect; reports fill the gap.
  • Every post has a Report link that sends the post ID and an optional reason to a moderation queue for manual review.
  • Posting and acting on posts are rate-limited per IP to keep the board usable.
  • We don't ask for your name. The only identity on a post is the optional free-text handle, which is not verified.
  • If you optionally leave an email when posting, it's used for exactly one thing: a one-shot notification if someone pays to redact your post. It's never shown publicly, sold, or shared, and payment details stay with Stripe.
